Women in the Data Center (Panel Session)

  • Thursday, 04/06/2017: 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM
  • Room: 515A
  • Session Number:  CE8:

This session, for men and women, is presented by four female leaders in the data center industry with diverse backgrounds--all worthy of celebration. They will discuss how to grow interest in and bring to light the many opportunities for students of STEM subjects; how to encourage young girls to pursue such studies; and  how to best mentor them as they attend college and eventually pursue a related career. Our experts will also look at their own careers in hindsight and address what they would have done differently in their careers or education with the knowledge they have today. The panelists will also share their perspectives on the future of the data center industry. Join us for this important, audience involved conversation about how women are shaping our industry, and how we can encourage more to join us!

1. Recognize women and their contributions to the data center and IT profession
2. Discuss ways to mentor our daughters, young women, and friends to adventure into STEM careers
