Maximizing Existing Infrastructure in Data Center Interconnect

  • Thursday, 04/06/2017: 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM
  • Room: 501A
  • Session Number:  IT10:

Stronger compliance regulations, geographic disparity, cloud and businesses continuity are just some of the trends forcing data centers far and wide to interconnect economically, securely and with great performance. A key approach of DCI is leveraging existing fiber lines and creating an infrastructure which reduces its footprint, can carry wavelengths between 100/200G and supports physical layer security and scalability. This session will examine the different ways that companies can improve traffic flow between data centers and operate their data centers at maximum efficiency.

Learning Objectives

• Latest technologies that enable higher fiber utilization
• Practices for building modern DCI
• Security for fiber infrastructure
