Most data center buildings have a series of gates, mantraps and biometric readers securing the building perimeter and high value rooms. Once inside the data center, cabinets are often left unattended and locked with only a basic, mechanical key. Rack Level Security enables data centers to secure its cabinets to the same extent as the rest of the facility by taking access control down to the rack level.
